Introduction to Universal Peace Federation Tuesday May 27th, 6.30 pm at 43 Lancaster Gate, London, W2 3NA.

Please join us on Tuesday May 27th to study together one of the UPF's five principles, 'International and Inter-religious Cooperation are Essential to World Peace.' Peace comes through cooperation beyond the boundaries of ethnicity, religion and nationality.

This principle relates to the UPF slogan that 'Humankind is One Family Under God'. The cooperation of a family to manage its affairs to care for each other is a model for the care and concern for each other on an international scale. The UPF principles are all significant factors in a sustainable, humane and loving life.

  1. God is the Parent of Humankind
  2. Humans are essentially Spiritual in nature.
  3. Marriage is a Sacred Institution; Family is a School of Love
  4. God's Ideal is to 'Live for the Sake of Others'
  5. Interreligious and international cooperation are essential to world peace

Father Moon described the need for an inter-religious chamber at the United Nations to pool the wisdom and idealism of each faith tradition and profound philosophy. That body, by being accountable to their Creator and their scriptural wisdom, could complement the political decision making of elected representatives who are democratically accountable. Together with civil society organisations these institutions could make a significant change to the conduct of world affairs.
